Overview
The historic Sam Lord’s Castle property, constructed in 1820, was once the flagship hotel of Barbados and an iconic property throughout the Caribbean.
The Government of Barbados (GOB) through the BTII is now requesting proposals for the development of Sam Lord’s Caste Estate, which is subdivided into five (5) lots. BTII is currently undertaking the development of a 450 room Hotel project on Lot 1, which measures 28.3 acres : this project is slated for completion in March 2022.
To boost the attractiveness of the entire estate, BTII is now seeking proposals from interested developers for the purchase and subsequent development of a tourism related project or projects on the three adjacent parcels which measure approximately 17.3 acres in total.
