The improvement works at the Salt Pond in Speightstown, included a reinforced concrete drainage channel and a self cleaning sea outfall structure, repairs and improvements to the existing vehicular bridge on Queen’s Street. The project also included the construction of a pedestrian walkway bridge and soft landscaping works to Goding's Alley and Chapel Street, installation of sewerage pipes and manholes. The construction of a new beach access, pathways, streetscape improvements, new road finishes surface, water drainage, street furniture and lighting were also completed as part of the project.
